Since early morning, excitement filled the air within the people living at Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Low-cost Rental Apartment (Rusun) in Muara Angke, North Jakarta. As they heard the news a few days prior, Tzu Chi Indonesia was scheduled to distribute basic food packages on Wednesday, 29 April 2020. Everyone prepared their copies of ID card (KTP), and family card (KK) to be able to receive the package.

Tzu Chi shows their care and attention towards residents affected by Covid-19 outbreak at Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Cengkareng Housing in West Jakarta. As many as 707 packages were distributed directly to the residents.

Monday, April 27, 2020, the Tzu Chi Foundation distributed 10,000 Cinta Kasih basic food packages of 5 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles @ 40 packs and reusable cotton masks to alleviate the suffering of the people affected by the Covid-19 outbreak in collaboration with the TNI.

Tzu Chi School students were so happy to be able to express their gratitude to the medical officers who are now fighting the Covid-19 on the front lines by making greeting cards.

Tzu Chi Batam and Batam Red Cross deluvered 6300 snacks, 4410 instant coffee, 1900 tea bags, and 3 dispensers for construction workers who are building the Covid-19 patient shelter in Galang Island, Riau Province.

In the first stage as of 30 March 2020, Tzu Chi Indonesia has distributed more than 1,759,000 surgical masks, 3,000 personal protective clothing (hazmat suit), 7 ventilator units, 640 liters of disinfectant fluid, and 157 disinfecting sprayer units, as well as together with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Coronavirus Handling Task Force (Covid-19) distributed 646,520 rapid test kits of 185 hospitals and 17 government agencies.

Tzu Chi Indonesia continues to provide support to medical teams dealing with Covid-19 in Indonesia by giving flower bouquets, food and drinks and cards to medical teams in 5 hospitals on Saturday, 28 March 2020.

The Covid-19 outbreak continues to spread, including in West Java. Tzu Chi Bandung also helped the government cope with this issue by distributing masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to a number of hospitals in Bandung on Monday, 23 March 2020.

The scarcity of masks in Medan, which has become a necessity to protect oneself from Covid-19, has moved Tzu Chi Medan to distribute masks to 12 Covid-19 referral hospitals in North Sumatra.

From 17 to 22 March 2020, Tzu Chi Indonesia has distributed 2845 isolation suits, 279000 masks and 25200 rapid test kits through Indonesian Health Ministry that was received by Indonesian Health Minister Dr Terawan Agus Putranto.

Tzu Chi Indonesia is providing assisstance in handling Covid-19 in Jakarta. Tzu Chi volunteers on Thursday, 19 March 2020 delivered aid to RSPAD Gatot Soebroto, RSUP Persahabatan, and Jakarta Health Agency.
